The Santa Clarita Valley prides itself on being a safe and healty community in which to live. The area's superior medical facilities and team of emergency responders and public safety officials are committed to ensuring the well-being of residents and visitors.
Since 1975, the 227-bed, not-for-profit Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital has been the Santa Clarita Valley's primary healthcare facility. Housing one of the few Level II trauma centers left the greater Los Angeles area, the hospital also provides emergency room, intensive care, maternity, surgery, behavioral health, cancer, cardiology, imaging, lab, digestive and respiratory services as well as physical and occupational therapies.
The Providence Holy Cross Santa Clarita Valley Health Center gives valley residents access to Providence Holy Cross' reknown physicians and high quality medical care locally through their Cancer Center, Imaging Center, Surgery Center and their Laboratory Services. Providence Holy Cross Santa Clarita Valley Health Center is located at the Santa Clarita Valley Medical Plaza along with the Facey Urgent Care Center and the Physical Therapy Town Center Pharmacy.
Public Safety Services
The Santa Clarita Valley, including the City of Santa Clarita, utilizes the extensive resources of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Department to meet the area's public safety needs. Regional leaders also work closely with safety officials to implement proactive crime prevention and emergency response workshops to improve community awareness.
