“I’m delighted and enthusiastic about joining the SCVEDC team,” House said. “As someone who was raised in Santa Clarita, I’m proud of our community and encouraged by the direction we’re heading.” House replaces Josh Mann, who arrived at the SCVEDC nearly a year ago in March 2011. Mann, formerly the executive director for the Antelope Valley Board of Trade, had been working with a public affairs and business-strategy consulting firm when he joined the organization. He continued working part time as a consultant with some of his clients while in Santa Clarita. Now that the economy in Northern Los Angeles County is starting to improve, Mann said, he has the opportunity to expand his consulting practice to full time and own his own business. “I’ve really enjoyed working with EDC,” Mann said. “It’s been great to see the organization first-hand take a leading role in the future economic development of the area, and I’ve been glad to be a part of the early stages of establishing the organization. It’s had great people that have worked hard.” As for House, she says she is looking forward to being a part of Santa Clarita’s continued growth and sustainability as the EDC works to retain and create new jobs, as well as further build our business community. “I couldn’t be more excited to have Stacie on board,” said Jonas Peterson, CEO and president for the SCVEDC. “I think her expertise in community marketing will be a great fit for our organization.” |
