Home to 88 cities and over 10.4 million residents, Los Angeles County is the nation's most important center for international trade, tourism, entertainment production, aerospace and manufacturing. The Santa Clarita Valley is part of Los Angeles County's 5th District. The 5th District is represented by Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, who also currently serves as the Mayor of Los Angeles County.

Incorporated in 1987, the City of Santa Clarita is the 4th largest city in Los Angeles County. Santa Clarita has been recognized by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC), Los Angeles Business Journal, fDi Magazine, California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED) and the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) for its innovative projects, programs and pro-business climate.
 
SCV Chamber
Representing over 1200 members, the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce has been the "Voice of Business" for over 84 years. The Chamber strives to promote and support local businesses by committing itself to improving, not only the business climate, but also the quality of life throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.
  Valley Industry Association The Valley Industry Association of Santa Clarita provides its members, a blend of industrial, commercial and service companies, the opportunity to collaborate on a broad range of business issues, such as legislative advocacy and support of local educational initiatives. VIA also provides networking opportunities for its members and SCV business community.
  Castaic Chamber of Commerce Supporting the businesses of Santa Clarita Valley's growing Castaic community, the Castaic Chamber of Commerce works to provide its members with vital marketing resources and networking opportunities.
College of the Canyons 

College of the Canyons, part of the Santa Clarita Valley Community College District, has distinguished itself as one of the leading community colleges within California. The College currently serves over 24,000 students enrolled in nearly 150 undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs on two campuses. The college is also hosts several economic development programs.

LAEDC 

Founded in 1981, the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation [LAEDC] was created by the Board of Supervisors to implement the County’s economic development program. Since its inception, LAEDC has helped create or retain nearly 171,300 jobs, with a direct economic impact of $8.4 billion and $144 million in annual tax revenue benefit to Los Angeles County.
