Santa Clarita Ranks #20 Best Cities to Live

The City of Santa Clarita was named America’s 20th best city to live in by the recently released 24/7 Wall St.’s “America's 50 Best Cities to Live.” Considering 550 cities that the U.S. Census Bureau reported as having more than 65,000 residents in 2014, the 24/7 Wall St. report placed Santa Clarita as the only California city to rank in the top 20.

 

24/7 Wall St. ranked the cities according to several variables, including crime rates, employment growth, access to attractions, educational attainment and housing affordability.

 

Santa Clarita's prime location in the Los Angeles metro reason, providing access to jobs and education was cited as one of the city's advantages. Another key factor was the the number of jobs in the city grew by 5.2%, several times faster than the nationwide employment growth of 1.8%.
