Aerospace and Defense industry in the Santa Clarita Valley

The Aerospace and Defense industry is one of the key industry clusters in the Santa Clarita Valley (SCV), involving organizations focusing on aerospace product and parts manufacturing, space research and technology and national security and international affairs. It’s supported by an Industry Coalition made up of a strong network of SCV businesses that meet quarterly. As noted by Holly Schroeder, CEO and President of the Santa Clarita Economic Development Corporation (SCVEDC) during a recent interview with elite Magazine, “The ‘clustering’ of businesses can enhance the competitive advantage of a region by fueling competition in the local economy, which often leads to quality job creation.1” And that attracts more great talent – yet another reason for businesses to choose to locate in the SCV.

The City of Santa Clarita and its partners work hard to make sure that doing business here is a profitable experience for businesses. Through the SCVEDC and other business groups, we have been very successful in attracting new businesses and creating a healthy climate for business expansion.
