SCVEDC Honors Power Brokers

2018 SCV Power Brokers Here at the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation, we’re invested not just in growing our local businesses, but attracting great companies to the region with a focus on industries that provide our residents with high quality, high paying jobs.

Bringing those businesses to our community takes a combined effort, not just from SCVEDC and our partners in economic development, but also from the tireless commercial real estate brokers who work hard to get those businesses set up at the right location that works for them.

Each year SCVEDC honors top commercial real estate brokers active in the Santa Clarita Valley at our annual Power Broker Breakfast. Along with brokers in attendance, civic leaders and community representatives come out to celebrate the Power Brokers with the most transactions in the SCV for their hard work and dedication.

SCV Power Brokers of 2018The Power Brokers of 2018 represent six commercial real estate companies based both in and outside the Santa Clarita Valley. The 18 top brokers logged in more than 618 transactions, with a total footage of approximately 21.4M Square Feet. Their impressive performance reflects the fact that new development projects have come online, and the Santa Clarita Valley is a destination for a growing number of businesses looking for land, modern facilities and a business-friendly environment.

In addition to the Power Brokers, SCVEDC also awarded “Transaction of the Year” to Craig Peters for a 52 acre land sale with over 900,000 SF of new industrial building development valued at over $135M at Needham Ranch.

SCVEDC and the brokerage community enjoy a natural affinity. From co-marketing and assisting in removing administrative hurdles to providing incentives, SCVEDC offers brokers a one-stop resource center.

SCVEDC provides authoritative data by working with top researchers and data providers in the field of economic development. We release annual forecasts and monthly updates as well as provide project-based regional data to help companies and brokers close the deal.
